Both treatments use fractional laser technology, but they are designed to address different levels of skin concern.
MOXI® is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser using a 1927 nm wavelength. It is designed to improve the appearance of pigmentation, sun damage, uneven tone, texture and early signs of ageing, with relatively limited downtime. It can also be incorporated into an ongoing skin-maintenance strategy.
HALO® TRIBRID™ combines three independently controlled wavelengths, 2940 nm, 1927 nm and 1470 nm. This gives your practitioner greater flexibility to address concerns across different layers of the skin, from pigmentation and surface texture through to deeper dermal renewal.
Your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your concerns, understand your desired outcome and consider factors such as your skin type, recent sun exposure, medications, previous treatments and available recovery time.
From there, we can recommend MOXI, HALO TRIBRID, another treatment, a combination approach or, where appropriate, no treatment at all.
A considered treatment plan should be based on what your skin needs, not simply on the most advanced technology available.

HALO TRIBRID offers particular flexibility because its three wavelengths can be used independently or in combination, allowing treatment to be tailored to different depths and concerns.
Sciton states that both MOXI and HALO TRIBRID are designed for use across Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI.
Skin tone, recent sun exposure, tanning, pigmentation history, medications and individual healing characteristics can all influence treatment planning.
Your practitioner will determine whether treatment is appropriate for you and what parameters should be used.
The experience varies according to the treatment and intensity selected.
MOXI is generally described as a warm or prickling sensation. HALO TRIBRID can produce warmth and tingling during treatment, particularly when deeper or more intensive settings are used.
Topical anaesthetic may be used to improve comfort, and cooling may also be incorporated during treatment. Sciton recommends topical anaesthetic for HALO TRIBRID.
Your practitioner will discuss comfort measures with you before treatment.
Treatment time depends on the area being treated and the treatment selected.
For HALO TRIBRID, Sciton lists approximately 15–30 minutes of treatment time, excluding preparation and numbing.
Your KAILO appointment will generally be longer than the laser treatment itself to allow for consultation, preparation, numbing where appropriate and post-treatment care.
